Welcome back, loyal dancers!  We've had a wonderful summer session, and now we're ready for a brand new dance year.  Our Harry Potter show at the Maya was a fantastic project, and we want to thank all of our advanced dancers and staff who made that event possible.  We're looking forward to more events like that one in the near future.   Those of you who danced this summer built your skills, stretched your limits, and made many new friends. Those who took a much-needed break or travelled this summer were missed, and we can't wait to see you all again and hear about your summer adventures. Don't forget to check our class schedule page for all the exciting new classes we're adding!  

Speaking of additions, we are thrilled to add Miss Sara Weir to our ballet staff!  Many of you had a chance to meet Sara over the summer, and we are so thankful to have her join our staff after relocating to Bakersfield from Sacramento. Sara primarily trained in Utah with Rocky Mountain Dance and Utah Regional Ballet.  Miss Noxo and Miss Sara will be working hard along with you students this year to make our ballet program better than ever! 

Lenore Smith's Dance Arts Centre is now under the direction of Janie Kennedy!  Janie and Lenore have worked together for many years, and those of you who have worked with the Kennedys or have seen them perform know that Janie, Kayla, and Dana maintain their own legacy of excellence in the performing arts.  Janie and her family intend to continue the same high standards of dance instruction set by Lenore for the past forty-plus years, while adding many new facets of instruction to the studio.
